Missouri River Youth and Shelter Home
Instilling Change and Sheltering Youth In Crisis
Behavior change is the
goal at the Missouri River Youth and Shelter Home. Up to eight
boys, ages 10 to 18, reside in the home where they are guided to achieve
individualized goals. Missouri River Youth and Shelter Home is a
24 hour shelter facility, offering emergency placements for youth in
crisis as well as long term care. Youth are placed in the home by
the Department of Health and Human Services and Youth Court Services as
a result of emotional, social, legal, or family issues. through a
structured behavioral management system, these youth achieve a basic
foundation of accountability, responsibility, integrity, respect, and
self esteem. Individualized goals are developed to meet each
youth's unique needs; addressing the problems requiring placement.
