Donations

Through our three community based homes, we offer youth the skills necessary to become productive members of our community. We need your support in realizing this goal. These youth need caring individuals, community leaders, and organizations to invest in their future. It is an investment that benefits the entire community. Kairos Youth Services is a tax exempt non-profit agency that gladly accepts donations. All contributions are tax deductible. Individuals aged 70 1/2 or older are eligible to rollover transfers of up to $100,000 directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to public charities. Kairos is registered as a 501 (c)3 charitable organization. For more information please talk with your tax advisor.  Also, please remember us in your trust and will.

We would like to thank all individual, group, and business donors who make a daily difference in the lives of the youth that we serve

How Your Dollars Are Spent

The following activities and purchases were made possible by individual and community donations. Thank You.

* Paid for a young man from Portage to attend the GFHS football camp.

* Allowed us to pay the costs for youth to complete their GED, register/attend drivers education classes, and purchase yearbooks for youth who could not otherwise afford them.

* Provided gratis treatment and/or shelter in excess of $71,400.

* Helped us purchase a new washing machine and refrigerator at the Missouri River Youth and Shelter Home. The home's appliances receive considerable use. We also replaced the remotely controlled garage that was inoperable.

* Permitted us to purchase welding supplies for a youth enrolled at Great Falls High School.

* Helped us to supplement Community Development Block Grant funds to purchase a van for the Missouri River Youth Home. We have now been able to  replace all three unsafe and unreliable vans at the youth homes over the past five years.

* Allowed us to help purchase dresses for rural foster care youth enrolled in the Chafee Independent Living Program to attend Proms throughout the region from Harlem, to Browning, to Big Sandy, to Conrad.  You helped them experience a traditional high school function with their classmates which may not have  otherwise happened. Thank You!

* Helped us to install egress windows at one home to comply with local City and Fire code.

* Allowed us to pay the fees for a youth at Portage to compete in the three-mile Ice Breaker run. She finished 11th out of 26 participants in her age bracket.

* We were able to replace an inoperable  water heater at Evergreen Youth and Shelter Home.

* We were able to replace chairs that were more than twenty years old at the three group homes.
